Sahu, Former Insurance Commissioner, ESIC, Ministry of Labour, Communication Advisor to Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRDA), and Founder Director of Indo-Global Focal Point (IGFP) – Prevention & Social Security in India.

One of the key engagements during the Mumbai visit was the meeting with Mr. Deepak Pokale, Deputy Labour Secretary & DISH I/C, Government of Maharashtra. The discussions centered around promoting occupational safety and health (OSH), industrial accident prevention, labour welfare, and wider implementation of Government-backed worker protection initiatives.
The deliberations highlighted the importance of integrating Zero Accident Vision practices into industrial operations, training ecosystems, and institutional safety frameworks. The initiative aims to create safer workplaces while improving awareness of social security schemes such as ESIC, EPFO, and State Welfare Board benefits among workers and employers.
Productive Interaction with National Safety Council of India (NSC)
Sri B.K. Sahu also met Dr. Lalit Gabane, Director General of the National Safety Council of India (NSC). The interaction focused on collaborative approaches for strengthening safety culture in Indian industries and educational institutions through multidisciplinary partnerships.
